This porcelain panel, created by the innovative contemporary high-temperature color glaze technique, blends the expressive methods of traditional Chinese ink painting, Western oil painting and fluid art. Through the meticulous layering of various colors, employing a five-layer color separation process, and fired at 1280℃, the glazes on the smooth porcelain surface flowed and diffused, creating a distinctive texture and pattern. This effect evokes the imagine of "Hongmeng (鴻蒙)," representing the chaotic state before the creation of the universe in Chinese philosophy.
"Hongmeng (鴻蒙)" was considered by ancient Chinese sages as the primordial “qi (氣)” in a state of chaos before the emergence of heaven and earth, signifying the primal essence of the universe. " The beginning of the Hongmeng (鴻蒙初開)," or the initial opening of chaos, symbolizes a fresh start, heralding the imminent arrival of a new world. This contemporary artwork skillfully captures the allure of modern art, offering viewers a visual journey.
